Dataset terms

What you may do with it

• A purchase licenses the dataset to one person or one organisation, for any internal purpose: research, journalism, analysis, or building a product on top of it.
• Anything you derive from it is yours. Charts, statistics, articles, models, and product features built on the data are yours to publish and to sell, with no further permission and no share of revenue.
• A credit to latetrains.pk is appreciated wherever a derived work is published, and required where the derived work is substantially the data itself — a table, a map, or a chart that reproduces our records rather than analysing them.

What it does not cover

• The licence is not exclusive and not transferable. It covers the buyer named at purchase, not a group of companies and not a later acquirer.
• Redistributing the dataset as a dataset is not included — reselling it, republishing the files, or offering them through your own API or download. That is a separate agreement; ask and we will quote for it.
• A recurring feed is also separate. A purchase is a one-time export, not a subscription, and carries no right to future data.

What we promise, and what we do not

• The data is supplied as observed, without warranty. We record what the operator reported and what GPS showed, we say on every figure how it was measured, and we correct what we find — but we do not guarantee that any record is accurate or complete, and we do not warrant it fit for any particular purpose.
• Coverage has gaps, and they are not hidden. A period when the feed was down is a period with no records, not an estimate — how the archive is collected, and what it does and does not measure, is set out in full on how this site works.
• An export is a snapshot, taken on the day it is produced. The archive is append-only and grows daily; a copy does not update itself, and re-running an analysis later against a fresh export can legitimately give a different answer.
• Nothing here limits liability for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited under the law of Pakistan, whose courts and law govern these terms.

Provenance

• This is an independent archive, not a Pakistan Railways product. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting for Pakistan Railways, and buying the data grants you no rights from them.
• The dataset describes train movements only. It contains no personal data of any kind — no passengers, no staff, no accounts — so no data-protection obligation passes to you with it. Our own privacy policy covers the site.
